Unapologetic Reader, Psychotic Writer

Bernie Kosar and Sam. The two reasons why this book didn't suck. I kind of wish I hadn't watched the movie beforehand though. The book is definitely better. But since this book barely scraped to be above okay - it is safe to say the movie pretty much sucked, to put it eloquently. I feel like the last person on the planet to read this book. It was fine, John was a dumbass and most of the times an ungrateful whiny kid. He made the worst decisions and suffered later along with feeling the much necessary regret. He dropped the cheesiest lines ever, at least that seemed to match with the movie, though I am still uncertain whether that's a good thing or not. I loved Sam - and his enthusiasm regarding all things alien. And Bernie was the best. I want a pet Bernie of my own!Not letting the review run long - I think the sequel sits right beside me calling my name. And a little birdie told me it just gets better. I pray it does.
