I'll just drop in a mini-pseudo-review here, which while pretending to be a review - really isn't.
The Governess Affair has created a better plot, storyline and characters than most full length historical romance and managed to not have insta-love or instraction despite being only 100 pages long.
There is still cheese and hysterics and swooning and shit but:
1) I'd be an idiot if I wanted a historical romance without any of that
2) And to read a book about characters who fall in love through mutual dislike and attraction grudgingly growing into love is precious enough to forgive the rest
not without stealing zat one star though.
Plus it's free on Kobo.
Yes, I'm reading a lot of freebies these days. Realized I'm just collecting a huge pile of free books and letting it pile even higher. 4 Stars End of mini pseudo review
